Yoga

Everyone should practice meditation, even children. The ability to meditate is something essentially natural to us, which we lose touch with when we adopt the busy, goal orientated, distracting life style of the 21st century. So it very important for children to start practice meditation at the early stages in life.

Yoga Benefits

In today’s world, children hear so much about being the best and achieving the most. Yoga teaches kids that their bodies are different. Different bodies do different things and all of them are okay. They are all just exploring our bodies and learning from them in our own way.

Physical benefits: Yoga poses build muscle, increase flexibility, and develop balance. Poses are done sitting, standing, or lying down and each pose is designed to focus on strengthening the body in various ways.

Relaxation

Yoga is combined of physical postures and breathing techniques to help children from feeling stressed or anxious. Deep breathing exercises for relaxation and focus. Yoga focuses on the present moment and encourages children to leave their thoughts and worries behind. Yoga and meditation practitioners believe that there is a direct correlation between one’s breath and state of mind. For example, when the person is anxious, frightened, agitated or distracted the breath will tend to be shallow, rapid and uneven. On the other hand, when the mind is calm, focused and composed, the breath will tend to be slow, deep and regular.

The Energy

My aim is to have friendly, supportive atmosphere in the classroom. Create a happy place, where, everyone can learn and feel safe and can be themselves. The possibilities are endless when you have the right tools.
